Ms. Wang specializes in U.S. real estate, investment, development, project funding, and real estate refinancing transactions, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A) involving domestic businesses. • US exclusive representation for one of China’s largest hotpot restaurant chains with over 800 outlets in China. The client has been strategically moving into the US market since 2018. Responsible for overall US structuring and formation of US wholly owned subsidiary and JV company. Continues to handle all seniors and executives’ visa applications.
• Conducts Semi-annual due diligence investigation and issuance of DD report for a leading interactive entertainment company’s pre-IPO need in China. Also continues to represent the client for business immigration need.
• Representation of an overseas news and screen media company in negotiation for amending outdoor advertising display in Times Square, New York. The amount in dispute was over half a million dollars.
• Representation of overseas private wealth management advisory firms (family offices) for ultra-high-net-worth families, providing a broad spectrum of US based services.
• Representation of for one China’s top restaurant chain with over 500 outlet global-wide. Responsible for US based compliance and policy implementation.

• Client is an innovation-driven consumer group that has been listed on the main board of SEHK since 2007. Purchased a landmark skyscraper in Downtown Manhattan for $725 million in 2013 to be used as its US headquarter. Assess and prepare visa applications for all seniors and executives for its parent company as well as all subsidiaries. This includes securing appropriate IV and NIV for the Chief Representative, Head of Legal, HR, and mid to senior-level Finance members, as well as evaluation of all new hires. • Exclusive representation for a global clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company headquartered in the Cayman Islands. The wholly-owned US subsidiary is listed on Nasdaq. Continuous representation since 2016.
• Client is an SEHK-listed Chinese leading prime office landlord and developer with iconic and landmark design focused on central Beijing and Shanghai. Prepared and secured H-3 visa for a key employee who needs to come on board in the U.S. subsidiary. Continuous representation since 2018.

Ms. Zhao leads the firm’s business immigration service for individuals with high net worth or specialized skills. She has specific expertise and experience in providing legal defense and solutions for challenging business immigration cases, particularly in the EB-1A and NIW categories, including those involving federal court litigations, motions to reopen/reconsider, and appeals with the USCIS Service Centers and its Administrative Appeals Office (AAO).

Mr. Yuan is a seasoned lawyer focusing on cross border transactions. He worked as senior lawyer (partner and senior counsel) at top US and UK law firms (Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and Miller, Canfield,, Paddock and Stone) for more than 10 years. For Chinese outbound transactions, Mr. Yuan acts for Chinese investors, including large state-owned companies, public companies and large private companies, for their investments around the world, mainly in the US, Canada, Europe, Central Asia, Southeast Asia and South American countries. For inbound investment to China, Mr. Yuan has advised a large number of multinational corporations in connection with their M&A activities and joint venture transactions. His experience includes representing one of the largest private equity firms to acquire a 20% interest in a state-owned enterprise in Shanghai, a major telecommunication company in its joint venture with the largest state owned financial institution in Shanghai, a Chinese auto manufacturer to acquire a Korean auto company. Mr. Yuan was also involved in many investment related disputes, especially those disputes by Chinese companies for their investments in the US. Mr. Yuan also handled many private equity deals and insurance transactions.

Mr. Yuan received his MA in law from Peking University in 1996 and his JD from University of Iowa in 2002. He is an attorney licensed in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey and the State of California. He passed the China bar in 1995.

3. Trade name disputes and anti-counterfeiting
• Assisted in handling disputes between PepsiCo and Chinese trademark licensees, including filing a complaint with Taobao and successfully deleting links to infringing stores and products;

Dr. Wang has pursued extensive studies and research in intellectual property law in both China and Germany. He studied under the internationally renowned Intellectual Property expert, Professor Joseph Straus (Prof. Dr. Dres. h.c. Joseph Straus) and earned his Doctor of Law degree from the Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property Law in Germany.

Dr. Wang previously worked at the German headquarters of Daimler AG and was tasked with establishing and overseeing Daimler’s Intellectual Property department in China, where he managed all of the company’s Intellectual Property affairs in China. During his tenure at Beiqi Foton, Dr. Wang was responsible for overseas legal affairs and Intellectual Property matters for Foton and the German automaker Borgward, leading several
European enterprise mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and post-investment management, as well as the construction of Intellectual Property systems. After joining Alibaba Group, Dr. Wang, as a senior expert, led Internet platform Intellectual Property governance, brand cooperation, and the Alibaba Intellectual Property Research Center. He also played a key role in operating and developing the Alibaba Anti-Counterfeiting Alliance (AACA) in collaboration with brand rights owners, industry associations, academic experts, and other stakeholders to promote the protection of Intellectual Property across the entire Internet ecosystem. Dr. Wang has also overseen Alibaba’s special project on personal information protection, accumulating experience in business compliance across various aspects such as data collection, usage, storage, and cross-border flow.

Dr. Wang is a seasoned expert in multinational enterprise Intellectual Property strategy, management, and protection. He also possesses extensive experience and in-depth research in Internet platform governance, Intellectual Property protection, and the integration of business strategy. He has made significant and impactful contributions to advancing cutting-edge Internet Intellectual Property practices and industry dialogues with government regulatory agencies and academia.

In 2013, Dr. Wang was recognized as one of China’s Top 10 Intellectual Property Managers by China Intellectual Property Magazine. Ms. Wang has extensive experience in intellectual property strategy, compliance consulting, and dispute resolution in fields related to film and television media, gaming, live streaming, Internet, education, and the entertainment sector. She handles various types of intellectual property disputes, including copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, antitrust and unfair competition, domain names, data information, privacy and

Ms. Chen is a Partner of Yuanhe & Twelve Tables, and an Of Counsel of Jun Wang & Associates. She brings more than 14 years of experience in global IP, commercial litigation, information technology and Internet regulatory issues, with an emphasis on China. Ms. Chen focuses her practice on enforcement and litigation action in relation to IP infringement, passing off and anti-counterfeiting actions, invalidation proceedings, as well as filing and prosecution of patents, copyrights, and trade/service marks. She is also experienced in advising multinational technology companies in the establishment and implementation of comprehensive IP protection, licensing, merchandising, and corporate transactions.

Ms. Chen’s main industry focus is electronics sector, but she also counsels clients in the mechanical and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition to her practice, she teaches Patent Law and IP strategies regularly as a Research Fellow at IP Research Institute of Southwestern University of Finance & Economics.
